I was very happy with the car when I viewed it at the dealership. I decided to reserve the vehicle straight away and paid the remaining balance, so I was expecting the car to be delivered in the same condition as when I viewed it.
When the car was delivered, however, I noticed scratches on the rear window which I had not seen when I viewed the car. I pointed this out to the sales representative, and he also acknowledged the issue and was surprised that the scratches had appeared.
I would like to say that the sales representative has been helpful throughout and has not tried to avoid the issue. He arranged for the car to be looked at and has continued to follow up with me, which I appreciate.
Unfortunately, the repair attempted today has not resolved the scratches. I was told by the technician that the glass cannot be polished any further because of the risk of the glass breaking. The sales representative has told me that he will discuss the matter further with his manager to see what can be done, so I am currently waiting to hear back from them.
I am happy to give Vertu the opportunity to find a suitable solution, and I hope they will be able to resolve the matter satisfactorily. As the scratches were not present when I viewed the car and were noticed when the vehicle was delivered, I do feel it is important that this is properly addressed rather than simply considered resolved following an unsuccessful repair attempt.
I appreciate the sales representative's efforts so far, and I hope Vertu will be able to find a reasonable solution.
